I have to admit I was slightly concerned about going to Luxembourg as the food is very much French influenced which to me meant bread and lots of it. Luckily I was pleasantly surprised.

I got in on a Friday night and was staying in Kirchberg, Europaparlament, which was a 30 minute walk away from the city center so I decided to go to the Tapas bar around the corner. Not at all a gluten free based restaurant but I generally find Tapas a good option. I had the ‘Calamares Al Grill’ which was the best meal I had eaten in a long time, hence why I am telling you about this.

Another Restaurant I found was over near the Luxembourg Gare Centrale Station a cute little place called La Fontaine. I was very impressed by the menu, the section they had at the bottom with the dietary requirements/allergens.

The more I explored the more I found that a lot of restaurants had the section on the bottom of the menu for dietary requirements. Over near the Cathédrale Notre-Dame, I stumbled across an Italian Restaurant called, Restaurant-Pizzéria Bacchus which also had this. I was welcomed by a glass of prosecco and a slice of pizza (sadly not gluten free) and the portion sizes or risotto were huge. Just what I needed after all the walking from my trip.
