I’ve been a Type 1 Diabetic since 2008 when I was diagnosed whilst travelling in Australia (luckily I was visiting my Family at the time) and every day is still a new learning experience.
I first left the country in 2002 and that’s when I got the travel bug. I’ve traveled to lots of different countries around the globe but haven’t counted because to me its about seeing every little bit of the world and not about the numbers.
What I enjoy most about traveling is learning about new cultures and seeing how people live on a daily basis, meeting the locals and getting first hand stories and experiences from them.
What I don’t like when travelling is struggling with miss behaving blood sugars, which tend to happen every time I travel. I am grateful for the opportunities that I get to travel and will continue exploring the globe for a very long time to come.
